Become an ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher!

The Fall semester will start in a few weeks and students and teachers will return to their respective schools and classrooms.  SRA Ministries is already preparing their ESL Adult Classes for the Fall Session. This is an opportunity for you to become a teacher and help others learn English to be able to express themselves more fully!

Important Information:

  • You do not need to speak a foreign language or have teaching experience. SRA Ministries provides the curriculum and training.

  • Time commitment is 3 hours per week for a 12-week semester. This means that classes will meet either on Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. You will be able to select which days work best for you.

  • Most classes will be delivered online. SRA Ministries will train you on how to use the online software for teaching.

  • As a teacher, you will be required to have access to a laptop, tablet, or any computer device that will connect you to the teaching platform. Adding a pair of headphones with a microphone will work best to communicate with students online. If you do not have any of these, you may visit our store and find these items for a good price by going to:

  • There is also two opportunities for a face to face class:

    •  Mondays and Wednesdays at 4144 N. Central Expressway, Dallas Texas 75204.

    • Mondays and Thursdays at 4500 West Davis St., Dallas TX 75211.

  • Classes are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021. The 12 weeks Fall Session will end on the week of December 13, 2021.

  • Both volunteering teachers and students are asked to make a small contribution to cover the cost of their books. The Teacher’s donation is $25.00. (Thanks to the generosity of a sponsor, we have been able to waive this donation from our teachers! God Bless our sponsors!)

  • You may have an opportunity of meeting with your online class to meet and greet in-person, if weather and health restrictions permit!

  • Additional volunteers needed for office help, tutoring, student registrations and other special student recognition events and graduation. To learn more about any of these other volunteer opportunities, please contact Mrs. Karla Torres at
